Mannnnnn, this book is the best it kept my attention from the very first page. It has so many twist and turns,and the women baby. I don't know which one I like best they all
have there own uniqueness. From the very first page I could not put the book down! This one right here is intense. Just wait for the end TOTAL SURPRISE. I'm just saying a girl from the Lou can relate! HOOD HEARTS BABY I CAN DIG IT!

This book was something else and I mean that in a good way. I liked how the author let her characters grow and mature in their own way. She just remind us of how important it is to believe in God and the understanding of forgiveness, acceptance and learning your self worth. Also she brings to light how selfish some people can be to the point they start to neglect their own children. This was not just a good read but it was enlightening as well

This book is hands down oe of the best books I have ever read. The structure and choice of metaphors also serve for Laveau White's purpose of attackingn morality,human nature and spirituality which can arguably be seen as being at the heart of the novel. Laveau takes the reader on a journey of highs and lows that keep you on the edge of your seat. Throughout the entire book I was on a journey from the Smallwood Plantation to the present day. While reading this book, I fell in love, cried, hurt and every emotion in between. This is a MUST read. I can't wait for Laveau White's next literary work!!

I have enjoyed every book she has written so far. I was not surprised by the exceptional story or awesome writing. This is truly a book that any and everyone could read and truly enjoy. My daughter read the book in one night, a friend contacted me when she was done & gave it rave reviews too. I read it slow because I knew it was going to good & like her other books you don't want it to end. Don't sleep on this one & you will not once you began(member of The Pageturnners Bookclub STL)

I am a wife, mother and i work full time and reaf this book within 48 it was hard to put down. I highly recommend you buy this book I mean novel... great read..

This book gives the word strength a whole new meaning. Anna had a horrific life starting at the very young age of 5 years old. While other little girls were playing with dolls, she was being abused and molested. Somehow she found the strength to persevere and made it through to tell her story. By the grace of God, she overcame it all and is now telling her story. To the author, I applaud you for your courage and strength.
